Peter GHYCZY

In 1971, Ghyczy founded his own design studio in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where he created furniture and functional objects in a minimalist, uncluttered style. He is best known for designing the famous Garden Egg chair in 1968, which revolutionized the world of design. The chair, which resembles a giant egg, is made of molded plastic and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Over the years, Ghyczy has won numerous awards for his design work, including the prestigious German Industry Innovation Award in 1978. Today, his creations are exhibited in some of the world's greatest museums, including MoMA in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
