Creative Kokeshi Doll Mushin by Kishi Sadao. Awarded in 1968 for its minimalist and original design. Creative kokeshi are usually more valued than artisan kokeshi due to their level of finishes and techniques used in their manufacturing. This is the case of the Mushin doll, in which the bun is sculpted in the same wood in which it is made and the details of the kimono are finely carved and colored.
