About this vintage design furniture
Excellent ceramic vase from Western Germany. This model was designed by Eduard Bay (1927-2012) for his brand, Bay Keramik, around 1960, and produced during that decade and the next.
This vibrantly colored vase stands out for the effect of glazed ceramic, with floral decoration in relief on the belly in acid green tones, and ultramarine blue on a turquoise background. The neck is decorated with vertical friezes formed by green and blue petals, which contrast with the dark brown interior of the piece.
Bay Keramik was a German ceramics producer, founded in 1933 and based in Rheinbach. It grew rapidly, becoming a benchmark in the production of this type of pieces, especially between 1950 and 1970.
