Vintage leather lounge chair DS-23 by Franz Josef Schulte for De Sede 1980

This is the first edition of the DS-23 chair designed by Franz Josef Schulte for the Swiss manufacturer De Sede in the 1980s. It is a luxurious leather armchair that is still produced today by professionals at De Sede in Switzerland. Our piece has more than thirty years of history. This armchair is covered with black natural leather. The armrests are integrated into the basic body in the form of slightly inclined side cushions. The comfortable inner part consists of three free cushions, an upholstered seat and backrest, and a winged cushion that can be moved freely along the upper edge of the rounded backrest. The chair is an excellent complement to a modernist interior. De Sede has its origins in a small saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. The craftsmen there are committed to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. The leather has a natural patina, discoloration and fading.
