Pepe Cortés was known for his minimalist aesthetic and his ability to create functional, elegant designs that were both timeless and modern. He won numerous awards for his work, including Spain's prestigious National Design Award in 1997.
Among his most famous creations are the "La Siesta" chair for Knoll International, the "Moma" lamp for B.Lux and the "Tucán" armchair for Amat-3. Pepe Cortés has also designed interiors for commercial spaces, such as boutiques and restaurants.
His work has been exhibited at numerous design shows around the world, and he is considered one of Spain's most influential designers.
