Vintage Apollo armchair in wood and leather by Svend Skipper for Skipper Mobler, Denmark 1970

Apollo model armchair and footrest set designed in the 70s by the Danish Svend Skipper for his own Skipper Mobler label. Extremely comfortable and iconic piece of the Space Age, which is made of wood, canvas and leather. It presents a structure that is created from multiple layers of wood and resin, steam bent until the desired shape is achieved; It is all covered with chocolate brown leather upholstery that matches the footrest. Mention that the measurements of the ottoman are 55×48 and 35cm high. Piece in good condition with slight signs of use on the leather (which was nourished and hydrated again, thus recovering its natural shine and pleasant original texture). And remember: it was named Apollo, in reference to the space program launched by the United States...they reached the moon and you reached a pleasant nap 😉 Reference : 311039
