About this vintage design furniture

Masterful dining table created in the 70s by the Venetian architect and designer Carlo Scarpa for the Cattelan Italia label. Made of black Carrara marble and glass. It consists of a large board, with an oval shape and a profiled edge, made of transparent glass so that all our attention is focused on its beautiful feet, formed by a duo of sculptural monoliths in carved marble, which reminds us of the cavea where the spectators sat. in the ancient Roman theater. It shows a solid structure and commendable aesthetic condition, only on the glass are various scratches from use lightly perceived; Also mention that a couple of its small plastic "stops" (on which the board sits) were replaced. And remember: the young Scarpa graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and always sought that artistic outlook in all the fields in which he focused his talent... this table is a faithful reflection of that;) Reference : 311023
