About this vintage design furniture
Superb one-of-a-kind round Belgian coffee table signed by Georges Mathias produced in the late 1970s. The table features a magnificent mosaic top of paved mirror-polished brass plates, surrounded by a brass hoop with a signed plate. It rests on a wide, round central foot, also in brass. The top appears to float above the base. The table has been fully restored and repolished, and is in very good vintage condition. A major, highly decorative piece in the pure Belgian style of the 70's, it will undoubtedly be the centerpiece of the living room.

MATHIAS
Georges Mathias is a French designer born in 1946. He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 1971. He has worked for many companies, including Philips, Toshiba, Sony, Renault, Hermès and Louis Vuitton.
