Vintage solid oak coffee table, 1960

This large modernist coffee table in solid oak is sure to add an element of French brutalism to any living room. It was made in France by an unknown cabinetmaker in the 1960s. It features a large varnished top in petrified wood and slate marquetry resting on a Brutalist solid oak base. This coffee table is a wonderful example of French modernism from the 1950s and 1960s, and recalls pieces by Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Chapo. It has been fully restored and re-varnished, and is in superb condition. A monumental table, rare in these dimensions, that will stand out as a centerpiece in any living room. Reference : 302553
