About this vintage design furniture

Rectangular table signed by French ceramist Roger Capron (1922-2006). Capron is best known for the many awards he received during his career and the numerous patents he filed, notably for his technique of inlaying plants into ceramics. This is precisely the process used in this coffee table from the famous "Les Herbiers" collection. The table features 24 stoneware tiles, seven of which bear the imprint of plants. The two ends of the table are also trimmed with half-U-shaped tiles, bringing softer lines to the top. The top rests on a blond mahogany structure ending in four double legs linked by two lateral braces. The soft colors of this Roger Capron creation recall the autumn season. ******** Period: 1960 Excellent condition. Satin varnish finish Dimensions : Width: 118 cm Depth : 58 cm Height: 36 cm Additional photos on request. Reference : 302126
