About this vintage design furniture

Vintage mid-century teak chest of drawers made by G plan around the 1970s. The piece is made of wood with a teak veneer finish and rests on four long teak-colored legs. There are three drawers all clean and fully functional with their 6 original carved handles typical of the period. The top drawer has a divider in the middle. Each drawer section measures: W:37 cm X D: 37.5 cm X H11 cm. The measurements of the two lower drawers are: W:75 cmX D:37.5 cmXH:11 cm. The piece is in very good original and vintage condition with some light marks and signs of previous use as well as a patina of time on the top, panels, drawers and legs (see photos). Please note that the back of the piece has been replaced. Chest of drawers has been cleaned, oiled, waxed and polished in keeping with its original patina. It is solid and stable. The manufacturer's mark is present. Reference : 295074

Victor B. WILKINS

Charles Victor Wilkins (1893-1969) was an American industrial designer known for his work in the 1920s and 1930s. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at the Art Students League of New York and the New York School of Fine and Applied Art.
