Vintage walnut veneer dining set by Neil Morris for Morris of Glasgow, 1950

Wonderful Walnut Veneer 1950s Dining Table with six chairs. Designed by Neil Morris for Morris of Glasgow for the Cumbrae Range of furniture. The table having a squared top with inlaid sides, raised on tapering supports. Table measuring approx. 73cm x 93cm (139cm extending) x 78cm. Comes with 1 extra leaf to extend to 139 cm. Each chair has a lovely Walnut Veneer back rest as well as having an horizontal back slat over a straight seat in mustard velvet upholstery, raised on straight supports united by stretchers. 3 chairs have external upholstered cushion on top of the chair, but they are all original chairs and are stamped with makers mark on the underside. Chairs have wonderful teak carved legs with a lovely angled cut to the front edge of the back support strutts, which oozes quality from a well known maker of furniture in the 1950s. Chairs are stamped upderside by makers mark. The chairs measure - Approx Height 77 cm width 40 cm length 40 cm Good Used Condition Some slight wear and tear to the chairs and table but is normal with its age. The chairs and table with have a light clean before dispatch ready for the new owners.
