About this vintage design furniture
This dressing table dating from the early Art Deco period is attributed to Maurice Dufrène for La Maitrise des Galeries Lafayette in Paris founded in 1922. The dressing table is entirely veneered with various types of wood such as amaranth, rosewood, rosewood and sycamore. The top, the drawer and the mirror are inlaid with geometric and floral motifs. A superb work of marquetry and cabinet making. This dressing table has been entirely restored and re-varnished, and is in very good condition. The height of the top is 76 cm and the total height including the mirror is 139 cm. A similar dressing table by Maurice Dufrène is on display at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
