About this vintage design furniture

Ceiling lamp by Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner for Peill and Putzler. Germany Düren 1960s. Exterior: Light glass with frosted decor Interior: Opal overlay The design is by Aloys Gangkofner, model Bari, he worked after Wagenfeld from 1953 - 1956 for Putzler and was clearly inspired by Wagenfeld's lights Düren, Cora and Berlin. Very good condition. Original wiring and Baldahin. The lamp needs 1 x E27 / E27 Edison screw fit bulbs. It is original wired, in working condition and runs on 110 / 230 volt. Reference : 250136

About the designer

Alois Ferdinand GANGKOFNER

Alois Ferdinand Gangkofner (1920-2003) was a German designer and master glassmaker. Born in Bavaria, Gangkofner studied at the Zwiesel glass school and then worked as an assistant in several glass studios in Germany. In 1949, he became artistic director of the glass company Peill & Putzler in Düren, where he created many modern and innovative glass pieces.
