Pair of vintage M-1 side tables by Hank Kwint for Metaform, 1980s

Contemporary design by Hank Kwint for the Dutch furniture brand Metaform. Stainless steel frame in remarkable geometry, with the open space between the steel slats and the black exposed bolts. The thick layered glass plate lays within the frame. The result is a contemporary minimalist look that bears similarities with Scandinavian modern designs from Poul Kjaerholm and Jorgen Kastholm. This specific set of tables has been delivered in a custom measurement; 86 x 40 cm, so the tables can be used either as side tables or jointly as a coffee table. The tables are in a very good vintage condition with some minor wear on the frames and some minor chips in the glass. Reference : 247187
