Kwint studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands, graduating in 1984. After graduating, he began working for the Dutch design company Tel Design. He worked for this company for almost 20 years, finally becoming Design Director in 1998.
In 2001, Kwint left Tel Design to found his own company, HKID (Hank Kwint Industrial Design). Since then, he has worked for many of the world's leading companies, including Philips, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, BMW, Audi and Yamaha.
Kwint is known for his functional, minimalist approach to design, as well as for his innovative use of materials such as glass, aluminum and carbon. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award on several occasions.
In addition to his design career, Kwint is also involved in design education. He has been a visiting professor at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and the Delft University of Technology, and has lectured on design around the world.
