About this vintage design furniture
A Danish design classic. kristian Solmer Vedel designed the ‘Modus’ range of furniture in 1963 for cabinetmakers Soren Willadsen. Crafted from soild Brazilian rosewood with black leather upholstery. The design and construction is very unique resulting in a very comfortable chair, perfect for reading. This particular chair and footstool is completely original and offered in very good condition. The leather is particularly good, no cracks or problems and exhibits a wonderful patina.

Kristian Solmer VEDEL
Kristian Solmer Vedel (1923-2003) was a Danish designer, best known for his work in the 1950s and 1960s. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and studied sculpture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
