Vintage ceramic bowl by Environmental Ceramics for Inc. in San Francisco, 1966
About this vintage design furniture
Fantastic, large royal blue navy ceramic fish dish (casserole) by Environmental Ceramics Inc. of San Francisco in 1966. It bears its full mark "Environmental Ceramics, Inc. San Francisco, All Rights Reserved © 1966" on the bottom of the base (see photos.) This piece is in truly beautiful, original, vintage condition, as it came from the original owners who only used it as a display piece and has been well cared for over its 55 years. The beautiful royal navy blue color of the glaze, which still bears its beautiful patina of time, combined with the details on the body, really make this a conversation piece. There are 2, small old age and use marks commensurate with the time, on the bottom edge of the base (see photo with a 1 cent coin for perspective) and a small age mark, on its inner edge (see photo ) but no cracks or anything that affects the functionality of the piece. The top (lid) has no cracks or chips. It measures 39 cm wide (long) with a depth of 17 cm and a height of 14 cm. Vintage California ceramics from this period are not always easy to find, especially those in such beautiful condition as this one. An ideal piece to showcase, whether you wish to explore its use as a serving dish, as a centerpiece, or simply to display it as a decorative object.
