About this vintage design furniture
A pair of 366B armchairs. Original from 1973, designed by J. Chierowski. Designed in 1962 by Józef Chierowski, they were put into production at the Dolnośląska Fabryka Mebli in Świebodzice and after the fire of that factory they were produced in several other plants until the mid-1980s. This is the most popular model of an armchair from the communist era, produced in one million copies. Two unique pieces after a thorough renovation. Wooden frames have been cleaned of old varnish and painted in black, semi-matt. The upholstery has been completely renewed, sponges and straps have been replaced, the whole thing is finished with a stylish, colorful fabric carefully selected to match the color of the frame. Józef CHIEROWSKI
1927 - 2007Chierowski was a Polish designer and architect, born in 1927 and died in 1990. He is best known for his work in the 1950s and 1960s, when modernist design was very much in vogue in Poland.
