About this vintage design furniture
An exclusive leather chair designed in 1963 for Knoll by Charles Pollock. It was a very successful piece that was sold in huge quantities, to this day the chair is part of the prestigious Knoll collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The outer shell is made of black textured polypropylene with a solid color, the characteristic element of this chair is the aluminum rim, which structurally and visually welds the seat and back together. "Rim" of the frame is extruded aluminum with a polished finish. Comfort is guaranteed by high quality leather upholstery and ergonomic armrests made of black phenolic plastic. The seat and backrest are made of urethane foam with different densities. The chair is in excellent condition with minimal scuffs in the base shell. The base has 360 degree rotation, tilt with tilt tension Charles Pollock challenged himself to create a chair inspired by a single line. "Everything has edges and everything is a line".
