About this vintage design furniture
The Hille furniture company was started in east London in 1906. In 1949, they recruited new design talent Robin Day, giving him carte blanche to revolutionise low cost furniture. The Hillestak chair was his first commission and an instant success. The seats and backs are veneered bent ply sitting on contrasting walnut frames. Several available, unit price indicated.
