Vintage glass vase by Bertel Vallien for Kosta Boda, Sweden 1960
About this vintage design furniture
The first large art glass vase bottles are rare and in very good condition, with almost no signs of aging and use. They were designed by Bertel Vallien for Kosta Boda in the 1960s. The inflated and blown form with a crushed glass vase is not signed, but a similar vase can be found in the photo: Gunnar Lindqvist, Vallien p. 40 Bertil Vallien is one of the few innovators of glass art in the world today. He and a small number of other artists have broken new ground, and his work has been particularly well received in the United States, where he regularly exhibits and lectures at universities, but also in Japan and Australia (quote: bertilvallien. nu).
