Nice, rustic and elegant ceramic vase by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand, Sweden. H: 15 cm. D: 7 cm. Glazed bronze elegant stoneware relief vase. 1950s. Signed with GN ARH. And R for Rörstrand. Gunnar Nylund was a Swedish ceramic designer born in Paris. Gunnar Nylund introduced the label "R" in 1931. Nylund became well-known for his matte field-stained stoneware.

About the designer
Gunnar NYLUND
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish designer known for his contributions to the Scandinavian ceramics industry. Born in Paris, Nylund spent his childhood in France and studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1925, he returned to Sweden and began working in the ceramics industry in Upsala-Ekeby.
