About this vintage design furniture
Fantastic simplistic modernist pendant lamp very similar to the ones designed by Holm-Sorensen and manufactured around 1958-59, Danish Stilnovo Era. The shade is made out of delicately pleated plastic with an interesting optical design in the shape of a lantern. Once lit it provides a very cozy but dramatic feeling and the pattern from the pleated plastic really gets highlighted.

About the designer
Svend Aage HOLM SORENSEN
Holm Sorensen was a Danish designer known for his minimalist, functional creations. Born in 1938 in Frederiksberg, Denmark, he studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before turning to industrial design.
