About this vintage design furniture

This chair draws its inspiration from the traditional African tribe chair, that -just like the Congo chair- consist of two pieces that slide into one another and are held together by the tension of the weight. No screws or nails are used in these chairs. An Iconic design which can be found in numeral books on the mid century era. What is unique about this specific example is that it still has its original woolfabric, in multitone color and typical 1950s design. Condition of the chair is good vintage. Structurally sound, color of the upholstery(red) is slightly faded. But only noticable when you take the chair apart.
