Over the course of his career, Haussmann has designed furniture, lighting, decorative objects and installations for public spaces. He is best known for his work in the 1960s and 1970s, during which he created radical, experimental designs, often inspired by minimal and conceptual art.
Haussmann has won numerous awards for his work, including the Swiss Design Prize in 2007, and his creations have been exhibited in museums around the world. He also taught design at the Zurich University of Art and Design for many years. Today, Haussmann lives and works in Zurich.
