Ostuni began his career as an interior designer, working for companies such as Gio Ponti and Carlo Pagani. In 1945, he founded his own design company, Ostuni & Forti, with his partner Carlo Forti. Together, they produced modern furniture and lighting fixtures for the most discerning customers.
Ostuni's lighting designs were characterized by their simple, geometric shapes, as well as their innovative use of materials such as glass, brass and aluminum. Ostuni's luminaires were widely distributed throughout Europe and exhibited at numerous design shows.
In 1955, Ostuni was awarded the gold medal at the Milan Triennale for his luminaire creations. During his career, he also worked with prestigious brands such as Arredoluce, Fontana Arte and Stilnovo.
Today, Angelo Ostuni's creations are considered classics of modern design and are highly prized by collectors and design enthusiasts worldwide.
