Italian group founded in Turin in 1965 and disbanded in 1976, group members: - Franco Audrito - Gianni Arnaudo - Adriana Ferroni - Giancarlo Paci - Athena Sampaniotou - Ferruccio Tartaglia This group of architecture students imagined becoming architects when they grew up. However, after encountering the adult world (architectural and otherwise), they decided that, although they wanted to become architects, they didn't want to become adults. So, to realize their dream, and following Peter Pan's example, they built their own happy little island and called it Studio65. These young architecture students were also painters, painting with powerful colors. Like all young people, they loved life to the point of being ready to fight to build a fairer world, where imagination and their form of expression could find a space and be appreciated. They loved American Pop Art and the films of New America Cinema, the Nouvelle Vague and the Italian avant-garde: Carmelo Bene, Lonesco, Beckett and the Living Theatre. They listened to rock and jazz and read Mayakovsky, Marcuse, Montale, Asor Rosa, Tafuri and Simone de Beauvoir.
