In the early 1980s, Selmanagic moved to Milan, Italy, where he worked for renowned design companies such as Artemide, Zanotta and Driade. In 1984, he founded his own design studio in Milan.
Selmanagic is known for his innovative, minimalist design style. He has won numerous awards for his creations, including the Compasso d'Oro, Italy's most prestigious design prize, and the Red Dot Design Award.
He has designed products for major brands such as Alessi, Rosenthal, Philips, Siemens and many others. His creations include lighting, furniture, electronics and home accessories.
In addition to his design work, Selmanagic also taught at several art and design schools in Italy and Bosnia-Herzegovina. He died in Milan in 2014, aged 63.
