Uno & Osten KRISTIANSSON

Uno began his career as a carpenter before working as an industrial designer for Swedish furniture companies. In 1957, he founded his own furniture company, Luxus, with his brother Osten, who had a background in engineering and design.

Luxus specialized in the manufacture of high-quality wooden lamps and furniture. Their work was often characterized by a clever use of bentwood and other natural materials, as well as elegant, organic forms.

Their work was shown at design exhibitions around the world and received many prestigious awards. The Luxus company closed in the 1970s, but the furniture and lamps they created are still highly appreciated by collectors and modern design enthusiasts.
