Ellen Malmer (1942-2022) was a Danish artist and designer renowned for her work creating patterns for the famous Royal Copenhagen porcelain company.
She worked for Royal Copenhagen for almost 40 years, creating over 140 different designs for the porcelain collections. Her designs are known for their elegance, simplicity and use of soft, natural colors. She also worked on special projects for the Danish royal family and exhibited her work in galleries and museums around the world.
Malmer received numerous awards and honors throughout her career, including the prestigious Danish Design Award in 1989. She died in November 2022 at the age of 80, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of Danish design.
