Nanny STILL

Over the course of her career, Nanny Still designed numerous decorative objects and glassware, including vases, glasses, bowls and lamps. She is best known for her blown glass creations, which were characterized by their organic form and bold, vivid color.

In 1959, Nanny Still won the prestigious Lunning Award, which was given to promising young designers. The award brought international attention to her work and helped cement her reputation as a renowned designer.

During the 1960s, Nanny Still worked for a number of design and production companies, including the Finnish Arabia and Kumela. She also collaborated with foreign companies, such as Italy's Venini, for whom she designed several pieces of blown glass.

Nanny Still has won numerous awards during her career, including the Pro Finlandia prize in 1978 and the Prince Eugen prize in 1981. Her creations have been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries around the world and are considered important examples of modern Scandinavian design.
