Savini has worked for many renowned Italian companies, including Cassina, Molteni and Gavina. He is best known for creating elegant, functional modernist furniture, often in wood and metal.
He also taught industrial design at the Monza Art Institute and was a founding member of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design.
Savini's work has been exhibited in numerous art and design museums, including MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Today, his creations are considered classics of Italian design.
