Graduating in architecture from the University of Florence in 1970, Mauro Manetti began his career working for design agencies and furniture manufacturers in Italy. He then founded his own design studio in 1977, where he continued to develop projects in lighting, furniture and decorative accessories.
Throughout his career, Mauro Manetti has won numerous prestigious awards for his creations, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1994. His work is exhibited in museums around the world, including MoMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
