From 1989 to 2002, Anastasio designed various types of furniture for Italian companies such as Artemide, Memphis-Milan, Design Gallery-Milano, Sawaya & Moroni and Danese. He has designed chests of drawers such as the Alba model (1991), as well as decorative objects such as the Italian Art Glass Object (1990s). He lived in India for eleven years and continues to visit the country regularly. His work is highly inspired by his travels, and strikes a balance between industrial and artisanal techniques. Since 2002, he has concentrated solely on his work as an artist and no longer produces furniture.
