Corsini was strongly inspired by the German architect Mies van der Rohe and the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. He also had a great affinity with Finnish architecture, which he believed to be the most beautiful in Europe due to the powerful simplicity of its designs. Powerful simplicity" is perhaps an apt description of Corsini's personal design style, as represented by the Pedrera collection.
Joaquim Ruiz Millet (b. 1955) founded Galerie H20 in Barcelona in 1989, where he has continued his activities as a gallery owner, cultural agitator, exhibition curator and publisher of books and design objects. During the restoration of La Pedrera in 1991, he discovered the beauty of the large PD2 floor lamp and saved it from being thrown away. Ruiz Millet began collaborating with Corsini to revive the original designs for La Pedrera. As Corsini's protégé, Ruiz Millet wanted to help save his work, make it known and accessible to the public.
