Vigo began her career in the 1960s as an industrial designer and interior architect, working for brands such as Artemide and Cassina. She then turned to kinetic art, creating light installations and sculptures that play with the viewer's visual perceptions.
She also worked on architectural projects, including the interior design of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lissone in 1978. Vigo continued to create works of kinetic art and light throughout her life, exhibiting in galleries and museums around the world.
Vigo has received numerous awards for her work, including the Compasso d'Oro Prize in 1962 and the Prix d'Honneur from the European Institute of Design in 2015. She was also named Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France in 2017.
