Bosse studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, where he learned sculpture and engraving. After working for several ceramic and porcelain manufacturers, he founded his own company producing decorative objects in 1948. His creations were often animal figurines or comic characters, made in ceramic or metal.
Bosse's metal objects were produced in collaboration with the Argentine metal manufacturer Pequena, where they were handcrafted by skilled artisans. The sculptures were then hand-painted to give them a unique look.
Walter Bosse's creations have won numerous awards and been exhibited in museums around the world. Today, they are highly sought-after by collectors and folk art enthusiasts alike.
