After working for several design companies in Denmark, Dahl founded his own design studio, Aksel Dahl Design, in 2014. His work focuses on designing functional and aesthetic products that can improve people's everyday lives.
Dahl has won several awards for his work, including the Red Dot Design Award in 2011 and 2015, as well as the IF Design Award in 2016. His creations have been exhibited in museums and design galleries around the world.
His best-known projects include the "Spine" chair for Danish brand Fredericia Furniture, the "Tidelight" lamp for Danish brand Le Klint, and the "Oakee" range of coat racks for German brand Blomus.
