About this vintage design furniture
The Jonh Ild double bookcase is one of the first of its kind designed by Starck in his career. Published by Disform in 1982, this piece takes its name from Philip K. Dick's science-fiction novel Ubik. The designer makes numerous references to it in several of his creations. The structure of the piece consists of two tubular metal uprights, supporting five wooden shelves. The whole unit, simply placed against a wall, is lacquered black.
