Vintage aluminum pendant lamp by Claus Bolby for Cebo Industri, Denmark 1960

Gold colored aluminium pendant light with yellow transparent acrylic decorations along the sides. Stunning effect of bubbles when lit. Good condition with only very few signs of age. Claus Bolby worked with a casted and died acrylic mass forming it into transparent pieces of art. As the acrylic hardens it creates bubbles and patterns making every piece slightly different in shape, texture and tone. Bolby was born in 1944 and started working with lighting design and production in his early 20s. He remained active in the field until he passed away in 2009. He was not one to dwell on the past and was amused to discover that his 1960s light designs had become popular collectors’ items and were undergoing a thriving trade in the vintage design market. Claus Bolby was the founder and chief of design for the Danish lighting producer CeBo industries. Good overall condition but with some slight scratches and marks as seen in the last photo Standard E27 light bulb socket. Reference : 307850
