Asymmetrical vase, model 837 by Pol Chambost in the shape of an insectivorous flower, in yellow aniseed glazed ceramic inside and black outside, signed "Poterie Pol Chambost Made in France n°837", circa 1955. Height 39 cm Pol Chambost was a renowned French ceramist, born on July 30, 1906 in Lyon and died on January 6, 1983. He is best known for his work in ceramics and pottery. Chambost began his career as a textile designer, but quickly turned to ceramics in the 1930s. His distinctive style was characterized by simple, elegant forms.
