About this vintage design furniture

This beautiful sofa designed by Cesare Lacca in Italy in the early 1950s embodies the smooth lines of the art deco sofa of the 1930s and 1940s, with a touch of post-war modernism. Cesare Lacca loved rounded and asymmetrical shape, and this sofa is a typical example of his talent mixing the elegance of the past, and the mid-century modernity. This méridienne really offers something from every angle, and has been fully restored, and reupholstered with a linen velvet fabric by Pierre Frey, reference Georges, made of cotton and linen. It is supported by six solid oak wood feet, slightly tapered, with beautiful sycamore veneer. A truly rare, decorative, statement piece, one of a kind, with stories to tell. Reference : 306422
