ANGLOISE DESK LAMP BY GEORGE CARWARDINE FOR HERBERT TERRY and SONS - MODEL 1208 - 1930'S Early Anglepoise lamp by Herbert Terry and Sons. This particular model is the tallest and features a round lacquered lampshade, long adjustable arms and a cast iron base. The same lamp was produces for Hermes but the base was covered in leather. Designer: George Carwardine Brand: Herbert Terry and Sons Model: 1208/1209 Place of origin: UK Period: 1930-1939 Style: Classic Materials: Cast iron, aluminum Color: Black Dimensions: Height: 100 cm Width: 60 cm Depth: 20cm Condition: Good Good original condition with signs of wear from the industrial setting where the lamp was used. The lampshade has a small dent and a few areas of paintloss. The arms and springs work perfectly. Reference : 306349
