Vintage rocking chair in solid teak by Ole Wanscher for France and Son, Denmark 1950

Dimensions: 73 x 75 x 77 cm (Width x Height x Depth) This Mid Century lounge rocking chair was designed by Ole Wanscher for the Senator Series for France and Son in the 1950s. This model is made out of solid teak wood and was manufactured in Denmark. The elegant shape and the organic proportions make this easy chair one of the most popular designs of the Danish mid century era. The chair is manufactured out of massive teak wood and comes with comfortable cushions with woolen felt upholstery by Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat. The teak wood frame has been refinished while keeping the patina and shows only some minor traces of wear and tear, nothing that distracts. The original boxspring cushions have a new new foam coating and the dust cover underneath the seat cushion has been renewed as well. The armchair’s overall appearance presents beautifully.
