Vintage rectangular Alveo coffee table for Mario Sabot, 1970

Alveo rectangular coffee table by Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot. Designed in the 70s, this table is recognizable by its central compartment and chrome corner pieces. The central compartment was originally intended as a bar. The table has been entirely lacquered in green. Willy Rizzo (1928-2013) was an Italian photographer and designer known for his contributions in both fields. As a designer, he created a range of furniture that is often associated with the modern design movement of the mid-twentieth century. Reference : 301848
