About this vintage design furniture
Mid-century vintage bookcase, dating from the 1960s. It was designed by František Jirák and manufactured by the Jitona company in the former Czechoslovakia. It features a simple design, a glass section with five storage spaces. The veneer shade is slightly different on one side. Overall in very good vintage condition, shows slight signs of age and use. Beautiful walnut veneer.

About the designer
Frantisek JIRAK
František Jiránek (1898-1978) was a Czech designer who worked in the 1920s and 1930s. He is best known for his work in furniture design, but also designed objects in glass and ceramics.
