About this vintage design furniture

Lawrence Heyman, Seacoast Engraving on Arches paper Number 86/95 This work is signed by the artist. Individual number and title (in pencil) Sheet size 50/59 Unframed work Lawrence Heyman was born in 1932. He is an American painter and graphic artist. Heyman received a B.A. from A. Tyler at Temple University. In 1960, he went to Paris to study graphic techniques at Atelier 17, where he exhibited graphic works and paintings for five years. On his return to the U.S., he settled in New York and specialized in Manhattan scenes. The artist then settled in Providence, Rhode Island. Today, Lawrence Heyman's works are part of the collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Museum of the City in New York. Work produced on Arches paper. This is a watercolor paper produced solely by traditional methods on cylinder presses, giving it an even texture. The cotton fibers are evenly distributed, making the paper's structure more stable and resistant to deformation. It is coated with a layer of natural gelatin, allowing it to be stretched without the risk of tearing. It also preserves the natural intensity and luminosity of colors, with the exception of paints, which have a natural tendency to penetrate the paper's structure. Original vintage condition.
