Lovely and large mid-century oval brass tray with nice edge decoration all the way around by Lars Holmström, Arvika Sweden 1950s. For decorative wall hanging, serving tray or plate at the table for fruits, cakes, vegetables etc. Lovely shell shaped handles on the sides. Marked on the backside with Holmström, 260130-6232. Measures: 63cmL x 30cmW x 1.5 cmH.
Lars August Holmström was born 1894 and died in Båstad - Sweden 1959. He was known for Swedish mid-century artsmith.
Lars Holmström participated in the Paris Exhibition and hit here with candlesticks and chandeliers and also with silver work. He is mentioned in French art magazines, where his work is referred to as masterpiece of art.
