About this vintage design furniture

Original Gispen 101 tubular chair designed by W.H. Gispen in the 1930s. We have reupholstered this chair with new black rib fabric. This version with invisible attachment of back and seat was made in the 1950s. A sprung back-legless dining or office chair with a chromed tubular frame (one-piece). A special feature of the 101 is its lithe lines, which give the chair a certain visual elasticity. The tube diameter is 22 mm. Reupholstered in black rib fabric (see photos). Frame still very good, signs of use consistent with age and use. Material: wood, chromed metal, padding and fabric. Colour: silver and black. Dimensions: h x w x d = 82 x 42 x 54 cm and the seat height is 48 cm. Source: book W.H. Gispen, series of products 1923 – 1960, page 150. Reference : 295769
